पर आखिर मक़बरा ही तन का सिकंदर
दरीचा छोटा है, तो इतना नौटंकी क्यूँ
आज़िज़ से पार करूँ, जीवन का समंदर
न ज़रुरत है मस्जिद का, न मैख़ाने की
पुकारो मुझे हलीम, या फिर मस्त कलंदर
