My evening skies are sombre
As dull as the approaching winter
The lone shooting star
disappearing yonder
makes the mind ponder.
The colour has abandoned the canvas
The music has abdicated the strings
The sea has ceased to see waves
The mountains are missing the springs
Will you light up my sky again
With that ever-bright smile
And bring the colours back
To the heart that had turned febrile?
