Playing adult

A very interesting anecdote from my childhood. Can't help laughing at it now.
My elder brother and I had lied to our mom and went to Regal theatre to watch "Manmadha Leelai". It was considered "adult" movie those days Quite scandalous. ( When I watch it now, it looks more like a bhakthi movie, when compared to the standards of today's movies, but that is another topic).
We sneaked in, bought the Rs.1.45 tickets for the balcony seats at the Regal Theatre in Madurai. The theatre was quite empty, and we chose the centre seats ( no seat reservations those days). The movie started.
And in walks Mr. Vaidyanathan, our school Principal, with his wife and daugther!!! Our faces became white!!! They sat right behind us... wink emoticon
We were squirming. Did not know what to do... and so, sure enough, before interval, we sneaked out in the darkness, out of the movie hall, and quietly went back home as if nothing transpired.
The next day, when we came home from school, mom pulled us up, and threatened to inform dad!! We begged her not to do so ( Appa would otherwise put his belt to good use!!!), and promised to her we would not do so again.... wink emoticon
Mrs. Vaidyanathan and my mom are good friends. So, she promptly had come home while we were away at school, and shared the "news" with mom. The good lady was kind enough and told mom " இது எல்லாம் இந்த வயசுல சஹஜம். ரொம்ப திட்ட வேண்டாம்" ( dont get worked up over this, such things are common amongst boys at this age").
OOOF!!!

The World Series

I don't know how many of you had watched the World Series match last night, between KKR and King's Punjab. I did, fully, to the last...
