O Krishna

Why did you show yourself up
As a child, O Krishna?

Was it to show to the world
That life really is child's play indeed
If approached, like a child would?

To celebrate life's moments as they unfurl
No regrets, no complaints to hurl?

To show unrestrained love, to one and all
No baggage from the past, in haul?

To do great things during the day
And sleep like a child, at night?
